How we can Embelish Wave Curtains with Contrast Trim and Braid.

How we can Embelish Wave Curtains with Contrast Trim and Braid.

Modern Curtains can customise your Wave Curtains by adding contrast fabric to the leading edges, tops and bottoms of curtains. Alternatively we can use Passementerie on the leading edge and curtain hems.

Embellishing curtains with elegant rope trims and intricate fringing can transform them into stunning focal points, adding a touch of sophistication and charm to any room.

Perhaps you can use a piece of trim on the Wave Fold Curtain edge and also use the same trim to complete a cushion. This will tie the scheme together for a cohesive look.

Using the same plain fabric in contrasting colours is a less expensive way to make your curtains look even more unique. When choosing fabric for a contrasting band, opt for materials with a weight similar to that of the curtain panel. If the contrasting fabric is too light, the bottom of the drapery may not hang evenly with the top. Conversely, if the band fabric is too stiff, it could interfere with the pleating or gathering of the drapery panels.

Even a 10mm contrast edge at the top can make your Wave drapes more special and unique, yet with very little added cost.

There is a wide variety of stunning trims available, and we can source them from most UK manufacturers. With countless options to choose from, feel free to explore the latest collections.

When selecting fabric for a contrasting band, stick to fabrics that have a similar weight to the drapery panel. If your contrasting fabric is too lightweight, then the bottom of the drapery panel will not hang as well as the top. Alternatively, if the fabric on your band is too stiff then it will affect how the drapery panels pleat or gather.
